Dr. Krug conducts executive seminars on a range of topics of interest to executives on strategic management and international business.  Seminars are designed for executive education or strategic planning purposes and range from 2-hour sessions on a topic of interest to half- and fully-day sessions.

Workshops are highly interactive sessions designed to engage a group in an exercise that leads to an in-depth understanding of the topic and the firm’s competitive position. Dr. Krug's International Experience

  • Dr. Krug earned his doctorate in strategic and international management from Indiana University. He earned his masters in international business and bachelors in economics from The Pennsylvania State University.
  • He also studied at the University of Cologne in Germany and University of Vienna in Austria
  • Krug has lived and worked in Germany, Austria, France, Brazil, and the United States.
  • He speaks English, German, Portuguese, and Spanish. He has formal training and business experience in French, Japanese, and Finnish.
  • Krug began his corporate career as an international commercial lending trainee in the Commerzbank AG in Düsseldorf, Germany and later worked as an economic analyst in the economics department of the Austrian Postal Savings Bank in Vienna.
  • He subsequently held several positions in strategic planning and finance at Texas Instruments Incorporated, including finance planning manager for Latin America, credit manager for Latin America, and marketing systems analyst in the European Semiconductor Group in Nice, France.
  • Krug later worked at PepsiCo, Inc. as the manager of finance and strategic planning for Latin America in PepsiCo’s Kentucky Fried Chicken International Division.
  • Dr. Krug has taught executives and international students at a variety of institutions, including Penn State University, Indiana University at Bloomington, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Virginia Tech, The College of William & Mary, Virginia Commonwealth University, and University of Münster, Germany
  • He was twice named Outstanding Instructor of the Year by the Executive MBA program at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for his teaching in global and transnational management.
  • He received the Keith E. Sawyer Service Award from the Executive MBA Program at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for his contributions to designing and supervising consulting projects with firms in Europe.
  • Dr. Krug has managed and supervised consulting projects at a variety of international firms, including Deutsche Telekom, Procter & Gamble, Lufthansa, Bertelsmann, Xerox, Volkswagen, Ford, BASF, Caterpillar, Porsche, and Warsteiner.
  • He is co-editor of two major works on multinational enterprise theory and international business and globalization, both published by Sage Publications in London.
  • Dr. Krug has published a variety of articles on international business and global strategy issues in Strategic Management Journal,California Management Review,Journal of World Business, Journal of International Management, Journal of Management and Governance, and International Journal of Management and Decision Making, among other leading journals in strategy and international business.
